Fisher's Shop Gantry & Arm
Ever need a third hand to hold a light for you while you're working on a project?
There are some areas of my shop that are poorly lit and I find myself having to either relocate or jury rig up some type of light so that I can see what I'm doing. Well, with this new gantry and articulating arm, I don't have to do that anymore!
This is a simple gantry made from just two boards that gets fastened to your ceiling joists of your shop or work area. The articulating arm swivels from a lazy Susan that is contained within a trolley that rolls along the gantry. A light can be mounted onto the end of the arm and locked into position in many different ways to give you all the light that you’ll need while working on your projects. Additionally, the arm and light can be lifted up and out of the way when not in use. This gantry and arm system has proven to be extremely helpful in my little shop and I’m sure you’ll love it once you have it in yours too!
